Rode the forest to create fields. You can do with the additional mod “soil modification (http://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=de&country=de&mod_id=75812&title=fs2017)” ways.
In the shop there is a separate section of the map with various Placeable Objects to expand your yard.

Nice map, I like the idea to start truly from scratch. The only thing I could not find is a refuel station.
